Country Guava

More Vitamin C Than an Orange

One guava covers a whole day of vitamin C - four times what an orange gives, weight for weight. Winter fruit at its plainest and most useful.

Origin & Heritage

Allahabadi Safeda grafts planted along the farm's western windbreak, fruiting heavily from November through February.

What It Eats

Rain-fed, with farmyard manure only. No synthetic fertiliser on the windbreak row.

How It Is Raised

Allahabadi Safeda grafts, picked firm so they reach you crisp rather than soft.

Why It Is Worth It

One guava covers an entire day of vitamin C, and the seeds and skin together carry more fibre than most fruit twice its size.
